A little horse therapy

Joslin and Nugget check eachother out.

Saturday afternoon we stopped out at Amy's house for some horse therapy. It was so nice and very effective! This was Joslin's first time at the barn and she was very interested in what was going on. The farrier was there too so Patrick got a chance to watch the horses get their feet done.
Patrick really likes to help brush the horses as we get them ready to ride. He is brushing Nugget. This horse is the best horse and is so good with Patrick. Patrick is still learning his own barn manners and Nugget is so forgiving with him.
Jason and Patrick return from their ride. Patrick had originally wanted to ride by himself but he decided to ride with Jason this time. Maybe next time...
Joslin on her first ride. Again- Nugget was just great with Joslin and I. We just took a short loop around the pasture and she slept the whole time. Once we got back and Nugget stopped moving she woke up.

Amy, who is afraid of babies, holds Joslin for a minute. It was funny- everytime Joslin did something Amy would ask- What is she doing? Why is she looking at me like that?
Patrick was checking out Amy's horse tree.
We stayed for dinner with Amy and Patrick wanted to keep going out to check on the horses. Even though it was dark when we left he wanted to be able to hear them munching grass and walking around.

Wow, What great pictures at the farm. Thank you for sharing with us. It is so good for the children to have these experiences with the beautiful horses.
Very cool that Patrick liked to 'hear' the horses after dark. Who would have thought of that?
Thank you.
love, Lois
