Gettysburg 2010

Over Labor Day weekend we headed to Gettysburg to meet up with Jason's family. We had gorgeous weather and stayed at a really nice place- Newhart's Iron Horse Inn. We liked it so much we are planning on staying there again next year!
The trip begins...
Going through a light tunnel! Very exciting!

The pool! It was a little chilly for my taste but the kids really had a good time. I did not actually swim for fear of freezing to death.

Jacobs trims up the grass. He went all over the lawn with his little mower.
Joslin can not decide if she wants to stay for cake or not...

She likes it!

The owner is a big sports and trains kinda guy. There was a really nice game room/bar/TV room. Patrick enjoyed the pool table...
some air hockey...
hanging with Derek Jeter...

and Joe Pa...
Joslin wanted to play pool too!
Trying to get a picture of Joslin and Jason. I think we were a little too past her bedtime for much cooperation. She is still a cutie though!

Silly family picture of the trip. Abraham Lincoln on the square in Gettysburg.

These little dioramas really fascinated Patrick.
The cows. The home we stayed at had cows. Joslin and Jacob thought they were the most interesting thing on the trip. We went over and looked at them a lot. We watched them eating, sleeping, sitting in the shade. They did get to pet the cows one evening with the homeowner. Very exciting!

The grape arbor. Joslin was loving the concord grapes. Heather was very helpful in getting them down for her. Fresh off the vine!
Playing football at the bar.

Joslin and Grampa get in some story time.
