Can we just get one?

Here are some attempts at getting a nice picture of the two kids all dressed up on Christmas Eve.
Joslin! Come over here please! Joslin!

This will have to do. Between the coughing, sniffling, roaming around... Whew!
Joslin looked adorable in her dress and Patrick was handsome in his sweater.
A beautiful Christmas Eve service. A fresh coating of snow.
A warm home with a wonderful family and presents under the tree.
Merry Christmas!

Gettysburg 2010

Over Labor Day weekend we headed to Gettysburg to meet up with Jason's family. We had gorgeous weather and stayed at a really nice place- Newhart's Iron Horse Inn. We liked it so much we are planning on staying there again next year!
The trip begins...
Going through a light tunnel! Very exciting!

The pool! It was a little chilly for my taste but the kids really had a good time. I did not actually swim for fear of freezing to death.

Jacobs trims up the grass. He went all over the lawn with his little mower.
Joslin can not decide if she wants to stay for cake or not...

She likes it!

The owner is a big sports and trains kinda guy. There was a really nice game room/bar/TV room. Patrick enjoyed the pool table...
some air hockey...
hanging with Derek Jeter...

and Joe Pa...
Joslin wanted to play pool too!
Trying to get a picture of Joslin and Jason. I think we were a little too past her bedtime for much cooperation. She is still a cutie though!

Silly family picture of the trip. Abraham Lincoln on the square in Gettysburg.

These little dioramas really fascinated Patrick.
The cows. The home we stayed at had cows. Joslin and Jacob thought they were the most interesting thing on the trip. We went over and looked at them a lot. We watched them eating, sleeping, sitting in the shade. They did get to pet the cows one evening with the homeowner. Very exciting!

The grape arbor. Joslin was loving the concord grapes. Heather was very helpful in getting them down for her. Fresh off the vine!
Playing football at the bar.

Joslin and Grampa get in some story time.

We stopped at Miller's Farm Market today after school. The kids are eating concord grapes, plums and some pretzels in the backseat. After a little while Patrick tells me: "Mom- your car is messy."

Ya think? Really? Hmmmm, I wonder how it gets that way. A mystery.

Wyatt Earp

Wyatt Earp hangs with some knights on a pirate ship.

I find Wyatt Earp on all sorts of adventures at our house. He has been:
  • In our refrigerator
  • Perched on our bathroom faucet with hoop earrings around his arms
  • Hanging with Lando Calrissian in the Y-wing fighter
  • Flying in a Little People airplane
The adventures of Wyatt Earp- the saga continues...
I should take more pictures.

First soccer game

Patrick Frazer of the Junior Cyclones!

Each team member got announced and came running out of the tunnel. How fun!

Our team played really well although we were outscored. Patrick wanted to know when it would be their turn to score goals. Maybe next time. A good time though- so fun to watch the kids play...or not. Some of the kids were ready for water breaks when they were supposed to be playing or shoes coming untied. I suppose when it is 4 and 5-year-olds you will have that!

The huddle
Kick it!

Patrick shows off his defense stance.

Playing catch-up...

The first day of school. Once again, Patrick was all ready for preschool- no looking back once he got to his room. His friends were there. His teachers were there. Who needs mom?
By the way- this is such a cute little boy!

Patrick and Wyatt- all smiles before school.

I have not even left yet and he is already playing.

This year I had to fill out paperwork for kindergarten. Eeeek, where does time go? It is exciting but makes me sad for those baby days that seem so long ago.

Patrick tells me this morning that when he gets older he is going to take me for a ride on his motorcycle and show me where he lives. How nice!

Soccer begins!

Patrick had his team pictures the other day. This is him all dressed up and ready to play. His first game is August 28th. Look out! Here come the Junior Cyclones!

Practice. It is pretty amazing to see the coaches get all 8 players on Patrick's team to work on drills and scrimmages in an organized way.
Joslin is ready to run!

Lately...

Here are some pics from lately-

Joslin and Big Orange. Feel the love.

Lovin' the swing!

Patrick tries to watch Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory- with help from Joslin.Align Center

Picking blackberries out back. I don't think we ever brought any home- except in our tummies!

Patrick gets ready for his first trip off the diving board. He was so excited! This was taken the day after his trip to the ER so he had to wear a swim cap.
