Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Eve!
We attended church this evening and then headed home to get the cookies and grape juice out for Santa. Patrick wavered between milk, water and juice for Santa and eventually settled on grape juice.

I know it looks like there might be some strangling going on here but I promise he was just holding her up- keeping her from crawling away. Ahhh, brotherly love.

Joslin and I are ready for Christmas Eve service.

Really- nothing says Christmas like Rudolph, Santa and Yoda!

Randoms

Some pictures from lately...

A hunting we will go!

This is is where we are headed. A Christmas tree farm on Pigeon Roost Rd. We have previously gotten trees from Mosher Farm. They had a little cabin with hot cocoa and cookies and a fire. It was just perfect. Mr. Mosher used to teach with Westerville schools and I remember going to the land lab behind the high school when I was in elementary school and having Mr. Mosher teach an outdoor program. Anyway, a few years ago Mr. Mosher passed away and they stopped selling trees. This place is a good replacement although they didn't have the cocoa and cookies. We will just have to bring our own next time.

Patrick found a Charlie Brown tree that was just his size!

The search is on!

OK- the boys get down to business. I love the way the are both down there working on cutting the tree down.

Patrick yelled: Timber!
Returning with their prize!

Joslin seemed to enjoy herself in the backpack.

All loaded and ready to go!
I think Patrick was surprised to see the tree go through the baler and come out all nicely wrapped. Now off we go to decorate!

Outtakes

Trying to get some Christmas pics of the kids.
Me: This is worse than trying to pass a kidney stone!
Patrick: What's a kidney stone?
Anyway- enjoy!

Thanksgiving

Ok- I did not take nearly enough pictures over Thanksgiving but here are a few. We headed out to New Hampshire the Monday before. We left a lot later than we wanted to due to a comedy of errors (ask me if you need details) but we did arrive safely Tuesday afternoon in NH.

Patrick really enjoyed going through the Where's Waldo books with Lee, Heather and Lana.
Joslin and Lee check out a light chain hanging from the ceiling at Lana's house.
This is Joslin in her Thanksgiving bib that I could not find when we were actually eating dinner! Of course. She did a good job sampling several things for her first Thanksgiving.

Joslin gets a kick out of pulling Lana's hair. Get away with it while you can!

Where to begin

The weekend before Thanksgiving we got together at mom and dad's house so the grandkids could help Papa put his Christmas train together. Joslin hung out with Aunt Laura while the kids "helped" with the train and the little village.

Good times with the train!

I know Joslin is sans pants but I wanted to include this picture of Great Gramma Mc with Patrick and Joslin. This was taken at one of our weekly lunches. I had come totally unprepared for a diaper blowout. Good times. Poor Joslin had to ride home like that! Oh well.
