It was a gorgeous Friday evening so after dinner we headed out for a walk down the road to Joann's house. What a fabulous time for a walk!
Joann's house is the little white dot on the left side of the road. Patrick was disappointed that the cows were in a back field so we couldn't see them. Maybe next time- he says.

Yuck, yuck, double yuck
This afternoon I headed down to put the clothes in the dryer. Some of the clothes needed to be hung up to dry so I was separating out some items and other stuff was getting thrown in the dryer. I heard something fall into the laundry basket. I looked down expecting to see a sock or something. Nope.
Yeah- that's a snake. A very dead snake that did not survive the trip through the washing machine. Apparently it had been hiding in the clothes.
Patrick kept saying "Awww, it's so cute!" Yeah, sure. We took the snake outside and put it in the garden. Patrick told me it's mommy and daddy would come find it there. Then I rewashed all the clothes in nice hot water. Yuck, yuck, double yuck.

Memorial Day Parade
Thank you to all the service men and women for the sacrifices they make so we can be free at home. Thank you to their families too.
Jason and Patrick wait for the parade to start. Joslin slept through her first parade.
The little airplane is driven by the Shriner group. We actually have a picture of Patrick sitting in that from when he was little. At the time it wasn't working. He got to sit in the little plane when we went to Wyncoop airfield for the WACO fly-in.

I love this picture. It's like they are really having a serious conversation.

I love this pic too- his little feet just barely stick out the bottom. He was only a year and a half old then.

Happy Birthday Jason!
This is a little late but we just celebrated Jason's Birthday today. A few days before his birthday I said to Jason: "So, 35 on Friday, huh?" Jason said "Degrees?" Ummm, no sweetie, that's your age.
Happy Birthday to Jason!
He picked the dinner menu which was flank steak and potatoes on the grill. This year Jason branched out for dessert though. No more chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate chips. This year he asked for a chocolate cheesecake. Yum.Meredith watches while Jason blows out the candles.Mom made cupcakes too in case some one didn't want the cheesecake. Patrick proceded to lick the frosting off the cupcake and tried putting it back on the plate.
And here is a family picture of the four of us...I think it is the first pic of all of us together.
We went to the Race for the Cure this morning in Columbus (we signed up for the family fun walk). There were so many people there! A big round of applause to all the breast cancer survivors we know!

Patrick is building a house for Joslin here...I think he is working on the stairs. He made sure I had my safety glasses on too so I wouldn't get dust in my eye while he was cutting.
We have peas, lettuce, spinach, onions.....and some dandelions too. Jason and Patrick got corn, zuchs, beans and cantaloupe in the ground yesterday.
